Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Executive to join our team. As our first sales hire, you will play a critical role in driving the growth of our business by selling our B2B software solution to the office of the CFO. You will be responsible for the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals and handing them off to our customer success team. You will work closely with the founder and leverage marketing resources to close early customers.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough research to identify and target potential customers within the office of the CFO in Ideal Customer profile companies.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to prospect and generate leads, build a strong pipeline, and achieve sales targets.
  • In addition to developing your own leads, you will take the initial meetings with prospects that come through marketing channels.
  • Leverage your understanding of our buyer persona profile, pain points, and gains our software offers to effectively communicate the value proposition to potential buyers.
  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations, showcasing the unique features and benefits of our FP&A solution.
  • Actively engage in consultative selling by understanding customer needs, addressing concerns, and tailoring solutions to match their specific requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the founder and marketing team to refine sales strategies, develop sales collateral, and align messaging with the overall marketing efforts.
  • Work in partnership with our customer success team to ensure a smooth transition and successful onboarding for new customers.
  • Continuously stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics to maintain a competitive edge and provide feedback to the product team.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of success in B2B software sales, preferably selling to the office of the CFO or finance departments.
  • Experience with full cycle sales, from prospecting to closing deals and managing post-sales handoff.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong consultative selling skills, with the ability to understand customer pain points and offer tailored solutions.
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Familiarity with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes and software solutions is a plus.
Compensation Range
  • On target earnings for this role is between $160,000-$185,000 (60/40 split). Compensation will include equity. Stratify provides a comprehensive benefit plan, including medical, dental and vision. Pay is based on factors such as work experience, skillset, and location.
